Mentor
Mentor is the wellbeing-first guide who starts every session — checking how your child is feeling, setting the pace, and bringing in the right subject tutor.

Mentor is the heart of your child's faculty. Every session begins with Mentor — not as a hurdle, but because a child who is overwhelmed or exhausted doesn't learn well, however good the lesson.
What Mentor does
- Checks in first. Mentor opens with a quick, friendly question about how your child is feeling that day.
- Sets the pace. A lighter session on a tired day; a fuller one when your child has the energy. On a genuinely hard day, Mentor will suggest rest rather than push a lesson.
- Brings in the right tutor. Once Mentor knows how your child is doing and what they'd like to work on, it hands over to the right subject specialist — and the subject tutor already knows how the day is going, so your child never has to repeat themselves.
Mentor's tone is warm and brief. It checks in, then gets out of the way.
A promise to parents
Mentor is built around your child's wellbeing, not just their grades. If your child ever shows a sign of distress, Mentor stops the session immediately and points them to real human support:
"If you're struggling, please talk to a parent or call Childline 0800 1111."
This cannot be turned off — it is a hard rule, not a setting. See Safety & privacy for the full picture.
