How the free Demo, Extra Time, PRO, Max and Heddy Merit Place work — prices, VAT, and managing your plan via the Customer Portal.

Every family starts free. There is no card and no signup to meet a live tutor — you only pay if and when you decide to go further. Here is how each plan works.
Start free with the Demo
The Demo is free — no card, no signup. At /tutor/demo your child meets a live Socratic professor straight away and gets 10 professor turns to see how the tutoring feels.
Want more Demo time?
At the end of the Demo you can add Extra Time — a £14 one-time payment that adds 100 more professor turns, valid for 30 days. It's entirely optional and there is no subscription attached.
Plans and what is included
Mentor is always included with a Coach-led plan, at no extra cost. Mentor handles your child's wellbeing check-in, weekly pacing, and routing between subject tutors.

PRO is booked with a Coach
PRO is £360 / term, per subject, per child, and it's coach-led — you're paired with a named human Coach who guides your child's term. You start by booking a Coach at /book-coach. Once you're subscribed, you pick which subject professors to activate at /select-subjects or from your dashboard, and you can change your picks at any time.
Heddy Merit Place
Heddy Merit Place is £14 / month per subject, offered by application to award-winning students — a self-guided place without a Coach. Apply at /scholars.
Founding members
Existing Founding members keep £14 / month for life, guaranteed for as long as their subscription stays active. That offer is now closed to new families — new families start with the free Demo and move up to PRO.
Promotion codes
If you have a promotion code, you can enter it on the payment page before completing checkout.
How to manage or cancel
All billing is handled through the Stripe Customer Portal — the same secure payment system used by thousands of subscription products.
To open it:
- Sign in at aitutors.me in your browser.
- Click your account menu (top right) and choose Manage subscription.
- The portal opens in a new tab. From there you can view invoices, update your card, or cancel.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep full access to the tutors until that date — there is no immediate cut-off.
No mid-period refunds
Unused days in a billing period are not refunded automatically. If you have an exceptional circumstance, contact us at hello@aitutors.me.
What if the payment page did not redirect back to aitutors.me?
Occasionally a network hiccup means the page after payment does not load correctly. Your subscription is still there — the payment processor records it independently of the redirect.
What to do: sign in normally and go to /install. If your subscription went through, you will see your connector details and the Manage subscription link in your account menu. If it still shows the subscribe page after waiting a few seconds and reloading, check that you are signed in with the same email address you used at checkout.
