Mentor teaches nothing. Mentor opens the session with a 30-second energy check, decides what tonight can realistically be, and routes to the right subject tutor — or says rest. The professors do the teaching, one per subject. That split is deliberate: the person deciding how hard to push should not be the person who wants to get through the topic.
Either. A child can ask for Professor Pi directly, and Mentor will route them there. If they just say what they're stuck on, Mentor picks. What a child cannot do is route around the energy check — it runs first every time, including when they ask for a tutor by name.
The Coach is a human being who reads exactly the same picture you do: the weekly digest, the Journey Map, the term goals. They check in around week 6 and adjust the plan. Coach involvement is a PRO feature. Without PRO you keep every tutor, the weekly email and the full Journey Map — you don't get a human in the loop, and the term closes with the written review rather than a conversation.
Two things, and they're separable. Every family gets a written Term Review at week 12 — what was set in week 1, what moved, what didn't, and what next term should hold. PRO families can also book twenty minutes with the Coach to talk it through. The evenings are capacity-limited, so they're booked rather than assumed.
No. You choose which subjects each child is taught, and you pay for those. A seat is one child in one subject. You can add or remove a subject whenever you like, and removing one takes effect on the next session rather than at the end of a billing period.
It watches for the failure mode most parents never see. Full marks every time is not a success signal — learning is fastest at roughly 85% success, so a child who is never wrong is being under-stretched. The tutors track how often a child needs a hint and how their flashcard reviews are going, and stretch the work when it has gone quiet. Too easy fails as silently as too hard.
No, and the check is stricter than it looks. Every tool that names a subject re-checks your live subject list at the moment it runs, not from anything cached in the child's login. A tutor asked to teach an unselected subject declines and tells the child to ask you. If that check can't be completed, it refuses rather than guesses.
