Connect on Claude.ai (web)

The recommended way to connect. You do this once in your browser — no files, no terminal, nothing to copy — and the tutors appear automatically in Claude Desktop and the mobile apps too.

Before you start

• Make sure you are signed in at aitutors.me/install in the browser you are using right now. That is what makes the final sign-in step automatic.

Added the tutors before?

Claude allows one connector per address. If you connected in the past and Claude says "A server with this URL already exists", delete the old aitutors.me connector first (on claude.ai: Settings → Connectors), then follow the steps below to re-add it.

Steps

1. On your install page, click "Open Claude →". A new tab opens Claude's "Add custom connector" window with the Name and Server URL already filled in, along with a notice that the values were suggested by an external link.

2. Check the two fields, then click Add.

3. Click Connect.

   If you see an "OAuth Client ID" box

   Under Advanced settings Claude may show OAuth Client ID and Client Secret fields. Leave both empty — Claude sets this up with aitutors.me itself. (Until August 2026 this flow required pasting a personal Client ID; it no longer does.)

4. Because you are already signed in to aitutors.me in this same browser, there is no separate approval page — authorisation completes automatically. You may see a quick flash of a redirect, then you are back in Claude with the connector listed.

   If a sign-in page appears instead

   This means the browser or profile you are using for claude.ai is different from the one where you are signed into aitutors.me. Open aitutors.me/install in this same browser, sign in there, then come back to claude.ai and click Add again.

If the form opens blank

Pre-fill occasionally does not carry through. On your install page, open "Didn't fill in by itself?" to reveal the two values with copy buttons, and paste them in:

Then click Add as normal. No ID is needed either way.

Confirm it worked

• Open a new chat in Claude. The aitutors.me tutors connector should appear in the tools section with the full toolset listed (42 tools as of August 2026).
• Back on your install page, the "Connected ✓" badge will light up once the connector has made its first live request. If it still shows "Not connected yet", click Re-check after sending your child's first message to a tutor.
