If something is not working the way you expect, find your symptom in the table below. Most issues have a one-step fix.
Common issues
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Magic link says "expired" or "invalid" | The link was already used, or too much time passed before clicking | Request a fresh sign-in link at /auth/login and click it promptly |
| /install still shows "subscribe" after paying | You may be signed in with a different email, or the payment is still being recorded (takes a few seconds) | Check which email is shown in your account menu; reload the page after 10–15 seconds |
| The connector form opens blank (Name and URL are empty) | Expected behaviour — Claude does not pre-fill those fields automatically | Copy all three values from /install and paste them in: Name, Server URL, and Your ID |
| A sign-in page appears inside Claude when connecting | The browser you used to open Claude is not signed into aitutors.me | Open /install in that same browser, sign in, then go back to Claude and try adding the connector again |
| Tutors do not appear in Claude Desktop or mobile | Account-level sync can take a minute or two | Wait a minute, then sign out of Claude and sign back in on that device |
| "Connected ✓" stays grey on /install | The connector has not made a live request to the tutors yet | Open a new Claude chat, send a message to start a session, then click Re-check on /install |
