Forces & balanceFree2:28Heddy Score 3 of 7, below the standard
What you need to know
- When the forces on an object are balanced, it either stays still or keeps moving at a steady speed in a straight line.
- A horse's weight acts down and is balanced by an equal upward reaction force from the ground.
- At constant velocity the driving force forward equals friction plus air resistance backwards.
- If the forces are unbalanced, the object speeds up or slows down.
