Choosing the right average
Choosing the right averageFree7:02Heddy Score 3 of 7, below the standard
What you need to know
- Put the data in order from smallest to largest before you start.
- The mean is the total of all the values divided by how many values there are; use brackets or press equals before dividing on a calculator.
- The mode is the value that appears most often, and a data set can have no mode.
- The median is the middle value; when two values share the middle, add them and halve the total.
- The range is the largest value minus the smallest value.
